Lech Bekesza


Lech was born in Wroclaw, Poland.   After emigrating to Canada in 1982, he completed a Bachelor of Christian Education at Briercrest Schools and a Bachelor of Arts degree in philosophy at the University of Waterloo.  He received a Master of Arts in philosophy from the University of Alberta, and a Master of Divinity degree from Trinity Western University.  Lech completed his doctoral studies at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary under the mentorship of Dr. Haddon Robinson.  Prior to becoming the Executive Director of the Biblical Preaching Society, Lech pastored the Cobble Hill Christian Church on Vancouver Island for 18 years.  Lech is a member of the Evangelical Homiletics Society.  He taught systematic theology and homiletics in Canada, USA and Poland.  Paulina and Lech have three children: Rachel, Abigail and Levi.

Graeme Bartle


Graeme was born in New Zealand. After high school he worked in a large School District office while taking accounting studies and earning a designation as a Registered Accountant, later to be recognized as a Chartered Accountant (N.Z.). Following that he came to Canada to study Bible and theology at Canadian Nazarene College. He went on to Nazarene Theological Seminary to complete a Master of Divinity degree. Most of his working career has been in the field of accounting, both in industry and in accounting offices.  Graeme is the treasurer of FORWORD. Today, he and his wife, Gail, are retired, live in Sooke, on Vancouver Island, and enjoy their three children and four grandchildren.  They call the First Church of the Nazarene in Victoria their home.

Kelly Davidson


Kelly Davidson resides on Vancouver Island with her husband, Richard, and their menagerie. In her first career, Kelly, a Red Seal baker, rolled dough in various bakeries and cafés from Banff to Whitehorse.  Her work as a volunteer literacy tutor, led Kelly back to university, where she earned a Bachelor of Education with distinction from the University of Alberta.  Kelly is an English teacher, mentor, and friend to dozens of children whose education requires more than language skills.  Having wandered away from Jesus for a significant part of her life, Kelly has a soft spot for prodigals.  Above all, as much as Kelly understands the value of words, she has discovered the surpassing value of a life built on the foundation of God’s word.  Kelly and Richard call Cobble Hill Christian church their home.  Kelly serves as a church leader and one of the biblical communicators, helping others to hear from God from his word and speak for him in their worlds.

Jamie Lockhart


Jameson Lockhart was born in Duncan where he lives with his wife, Erin, and their four children.  Jamie cannot remember a time when he was not working, or thinking about some ingenious ways of multiplying resources.  He has always had a keen interest in business and leadership development.  After graduation, he worked for various corporations as a sales representative and manager, always seeking to improve and innovate his working environment.  The growing demands of a hectic life eventually led the Lockhart family to a retreat in Ontario where they met Jesus Christ in a new way through sound biblical theology.  Coming home marked a turning point in Jamie’s vision of God, church and business.  At the present, Jamie is developing Mitchell’s Soup Co., a company committed to providing great value-added nourishment for his clients while developing leaders and resources for God’s Kingdom through sound biblical business practices.  Jamie and Erin are leaders at the Cobble Hill Christian Church in the Cowichan Valley. 

Philip Siemens


Philip was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba.  He immigrated to British Columbia as soon as he reached the age of common sense. He received a Diploma in Biblical Studies from Columbia Bible Institute and a Bachelor of Arts in Classics from the University of Victoria. Phil completed a Master of Christian Studies at Regent College in Vancouver.  Since his last graduation Phil has provided for his family through residential construction and cabinet making.  Phil has a deep passion for the communication of God’s truth in our culture.  He loves God and people.  His unquenched thirst for biblical and historical knowledge continues to define his reading list.  Phil has been a leader at the Cobble Hill Christian Church for the past two decades.  He enjoys teaching in the junior Sunday School department.  Philip and his wife, Heather, have three children: Natasha, Luke and Helen.


Jarrett Wilke


Jarrett Wilke, or JJ, lives on Vancouver Island with his wife, Jen, their 6 wonderful kids, and a flock of chickens. JJ graduated from UBC with a bachelor in Human Kinetics, adding to it a bachelor degree in education, and completing his academic studies with a Master of Education degree from SFU. JJ’s passion for teaching young people initially led him to a public school classroom as a math teacher, and presently to Shawnigan Lake School where JJ helps to coach and educate an international cohort of students. JJ has a keen interest in understanding and explaining God’s truth. Above all, he has a deep concern for people to come into a living relationship with God. JJ is a leader at the Cobble Hill Christian Church where he and Jen are involved in Christian Education.
